Nestorian Infestation #38

Mosuo dan Bribrix, Matriarch of House Akan readies herself for the arrival of Master Nestorian..

Nestorian Infestation is gearing up and we will for the first time in a few years get some more games in that will drive the narrative further. In short we are moving from desolate industrial areas where Nestorian where scheming with his spore technology and into more civilised parts – hence the entry of this new key character, Mosuo dan Bribrix.

And what perfect timing for a female genestealer cult demi god than when Leadballoony’s 3rd Fembruary challenge is running πŸ˜€

Full frontal and actually nsfw. Not for the sake of it but to illustrate the more decadent stylings of the noble houses.

She is a true monstrosity, blessed magnificently by Nestorians spores. My main inspiration for her was this;

Before her time in terms of truly terrifying adversary in a televised series!

As far as the matriark theme goes. Show me something that is even close to the equal of Alice Krige’s Borg Queen from Star Trek! Especially one that is part of a hive mind πŸ˜‡

The life-enhancement tech on her is still embedded after the spore treatment.

Ancient by human terms and on life support, after inhaling the spores she is now stronger and more vital than ever.

Interesting to note is that I didn’t use any actual metal paints on her and it is by far some of the best “metals” I’ve painted.

Hints of her new form ripple underneath her skirts.

I tried to show remnants of what kept this old crone going, now left useless but still a physical part of her. The extra legs are primarily from that large skaven monster.

This is the Β«money shotΒ» as far as showing her off. Difficult getting a good angle.

No matter the angle I am very pleased with this model and what she represents for the next chapter in the Nestorian Infestation.

Hmm, or maybe this is the money-shot. So difficult πŸ˜‚

I am really looking forward on continuing with her court and other beasts in her menagerie, but meanwhile settle with this;

A mother and her loving little boy πŸ–€

So that’s about it I think for this update πŸ™‚ As previously shown there’s still a lot left to be done;

But with the focal character in place that should be a lot easier!

As always, don’t hesitate to drop those comments πŸ˜‡

    She is delightfully disturbing.
    The first time I saw her I thought of a biological version of the Borg queen (who is one of the most alluringly disturbing character villains ever IMO) .
    Such a cool model, that tells the story without any need for words. Wonderful stuff.

    That is stunning. Really captures the dark gothic spirit of 40k.

    Cheers,

    Pete.

    Great work as always! Not just on the kitbashing and painting (which are great!) but the way the model itself tells you a story just by looking at it. Fantastic.

    Sheer brilliance – everything I hoped she would be when you first showed the WIPs. Good to hear the next chapter of the Nestorian Infestation is coming soon too πŸ™‚

    Mate, what can I say? She is superb! The skin texture looks tortured and bruised, while the shambling pose is sinister, alien and disturbing. Beautiful work mate

  6. What a fantastic model! You have managed to come up with a character that is, at the same time, very regal and completely monstrous! And like the entire project, she beautifully adds something very original to the Tyranids/Genestealer Cults while also feeling perfectly at home in the setting. Truly stunning work!

    • Thank you very much πŸ˜… It was a hard model to put together as getting that strong feminine look is more difficult than it should be. Still, I feel this is my best female model ever and it has also made me want to push it further as far as what you can create of unique and strong female characters.
