I gazed at his magnificence..
..my vision completely filled with his glorious girth. All around me was flesh and smiling flies. Within his bulk I spied lesser minions, suckling on his leaking entrails. At his feet pools of pus and other bodily fluids gathered, in which his children splashed and played with glee. It was a blessing to behold such glory and joy. It was with great sadness that I awoke into a world filled with Imperial dogma and admonitions. I knew then the path I must walk.
– Fallen Inquisitor
– Cultists
– Unknown mutated engine
– Plague marines
– known portion of warband
In the embrace of great Nurgle, I am no longer afraid, for with His pestilential favour I have become that which I once feared: Death.

This has mainly been a side project with no particular goal beyond making a fallen Inquisitor and his warband that’ll slot in with my Nurgle stuff. I wanted to use flesh tones exclusively and with only small splashes of yellow as a spot colour.
The bases are green to kinda give that traditional Nurgle nod.
After the #makedeathguardgreatagain challenge Adam gave me his plague marine.
Very cool seeing them opposite each other ❤️
I also couldn’t help take a quick duel pic of the two leaders from my chaos INQ28 warbands 🙂
I aim to finish up the Nurgle rotters team for Blood Bowl next and then it’ll be more Adeptus Titanicus and Nightvault I think.
Thoughts?

Lovely! Hard to pick a favourite, although I’ve been wanting to see those Plague Marines done for a long time so they might just win it for me.
Cheers mate, appreciate it 😀 I am very pattial to the dg myself 😅
Very bloody cool. I’ve said it before I’ll say it again your style is so unique. Hard to be unique in this hobby of ours but your work really stands out.
Thank you that is so kind of you to say – really means a lot ☺️
I love them, I love how dindgy, dark and sinister they look. Im reminded of @reamelish work on Twitter/insta and I love his stuff too. So great, I’d love to play a game where these models are involved.
Thank you 😀
I worked hard to push things further as a test on how I want to paint my Nurgle rotters team. Expect to see more dingy Nurgle soon!
Those look exactly as I imagined the plagued looked on moon of Davin and the Death Guard on the Eisenstein. Excellent. Captured that ‘crept out of the decaying muck and putrid fog’ look perfectly.
Thank you Rob! I wanted textiles and armour to look like it was borderline flesh. As if it just becomes a part of the person.
Simply superb- love your painting style.
Cheers,
Pete.
Thank you Pete 😊
Superb mate – the conversions are as glorious as always, but oh boy, sticking with flesh tones throughout was just inspired! Bravo!
Thank you Alex 😀
Wonderful and beautifully ugly.
Thank you euan 😀
