The BloodBowl28 challenge #1

INQ28 and AoS28 meets Blood Bowl in this open challenge!

So what’s this then right..

Well I’ll try to break it down;

A query on the Inquisitorum page a few months back asked if anyone had made or knew of Blood Bowl teams made in the INQ28 / Blanchitsu style.

Being an avid BB player for well over a decade and with an interest in meddling with “28” themed projects I immediately thought of setting up a challenge with AoS28 / Dark Age of Sigmar added into the mix to see what this could produce.

So “immediately” 4 months after, here we are πŸ˜‰

What’s an INQ28/AoS28 (Blanchitsu) style

Now you can find a bit around on the subject by googling this but a post written by Jake (Bruticus) explaining AoS28 is probably the best piece I’ve read about it.

Convenient link here.

The Challenge

If you make a single player or an entire team that’s entirely up to you. The point here is to convey the “28” style in your miniature(s). This means you dont have to adhere to existing races and teams nor BB rules. Of course it is a bonus being able to play with what you create but it isn’t a demand as far as the challenge goes.

The only rules are;

  1. No 3rd party models.
  2. Must clearly identify as playing Blood Bowl (helmets, protective gear, football, team colours/marking)

If you’re on Instagram please use the following hashtags;

This way we all share in on the fun underway in the process πŸ™‚

  • Part 1 – WiP

By the end of september have your WiP done.

Send ONE pic and a few words about it to

All WiPs will then be shared on the blog with a few comments from myself.

  • Part 2 – Finished mini(s)

By the end of October have your mini(s) all done.

Send a maximum of THREE pics and a short player bio(s) to

  • Part 3 – Wrapping it up

Hopefully there will be a lot of stuff to sift through and get ready but I aim by mid November to have everything ready.

It will be a post featuring all the finished work and who wins the challenge. Determining the winner will be by a panel of judges known from the “28” scene but who aren’t a part of the challenge themselves πŸ˜‰

  • Prize

The winner of the challenge will WIN a box of this excellent new Nurgle Blood Bowl team!

The old 1st and 2nd ed artwork from Blood Bowl is very fitting for the challenge imo!

All right, I think that’s it for now. Hope you are game for the challenge πŸ˜€

    I feel like there’s a conspiracy to get me into Blood Bowl going on! Even if I don’t find myself joining in here (and let’s be honest, I probably will) the inspiration from this will undoubtedly push me over the edge into starting a team.

    Nice idea – I’m happy with how my AdMech/undead team turned out, so I think this challenge has legs

    This is definitely the thing I had in mind when I made my chaos renegades team. Maybe I could add another player for the challenge? I do still need to paint my ogre … maybe I could convert him up a bit more?
