U walk..we WAAAGH!!! #4

Ere We Go, ‘Ere We Go, ‘Ere We Go!

“The Orks are the pinnacle of creation. For them, the great struggle is won. They have evolved a society which knows no stress or angst. Who are we to judge them? We Eldar who have failed, or the Humans, on the road to ruin in their turn. And why? Because we sought answers to questions that an Ork wouldn’t even bother to ask. We see a culture that is strong and despise it as crude.”

– From Culture vs. Kultur: Thoughts on Orkish Society by Uthan the Perverse, a controversial Eldar philosopher.

My moniker and long standing nick kinda gives it away but I am truly fond of orks or Greenskins to include orruks (orCs cough cough).

Now as far as representing them in their true form;

On occasion, an Ork leader will emerge who is mighty enough to defeat his rivals and unite the warring tribes. His success draws other tribes to him, and soon a great WAAAGH! is underway — partly a migration, partly a holy war that can exterminate the populations of entire star systems.

I have always been of the opinion that Epic40k is the only place to truly be close at replicating this in miniature form.

So as mentioned several times before, I have a big Epic40k army (scroll down to see it bar a few stompas and the mega-gargants). With Adeptus Titanicus it was obvious immediately that I would use that part of my orks, even though I early understood that the Epic40k range would be a smaller scale than the new one. Good thing this doesn’t really matter a lot for orks then!

Note that I will complete my orks one day, especially since there’s an Epic40k eldar army in my new local gaming group!

Hope you like them and hope to see more orks and eldar in Adeptus Titanicus soon 😉

    This is a great force of Mekka Madness. I think that Epic if definitely the scale for depicting massed combat in 40k. The regular 28mm stuff just doesn’t really do it. Kill Team is the size of game to play at Heroic 28mm Scale. Company level games, like the current 40k should be 15mm. Proper battles need 10mm or smaller, to allow room to maneuver battalions of troops.

  5. […] I pre-ordered the reaver and then wrapped up my Epic40k ork warband as you might know already. I didn’t want the grand master ed as the knights and warlord […]

    Nice and gritty (and just a wee bit silly)! Perfect!
