Illuminating the Abyss #1

A return to INQ28 but with tzeentch sounds just about right..

I have as you probably know spent most of my time this last year with two different but connected tzeentch projects for AoS.

This little project will bridge a lot of that work into the 40k / INQ28 verse.

First off here’s two henchmen or Acolytes rather.

It’s actually a very fun aspect to scifi up what I’ve been doing lately.

Two quite different characters and I’ll definitely write up some more on them as I develop the group further.

Hit me with some feedback if you have it!

Awesome as always mate. I really like the one with the horns. What bit was used?

  2. Remnante says:

Looking good! I really like the head of the horned blind man, and the masked cultist is superb.

  3. Really cool minis.
Your Tzeenchian endeavours have inspired me to start a long postponed project. An Inq28 cult called La Mรฉnagerie. Maybe less mutated and creepier but your minis are so cool that I might just sunk into that too.
Isnยดt the power glove a little too much for an Alcolyte ?
Please keep on posting. You are a booster for my motivation !

Ooh โ€“ Iโ€™m excited about this project! Nice work joining the elven horns to the electro-priest (Iโ€™ll admit I spent quite a while trying to work that one out before I read the comments!) Only thing Iโ€™m not entirely sure on is the mecha-tendril on the powerfist, it looks a bit superfluous but that may just be the angle? Otherwise looking good mate โ€“ looking forward to seeing the group growing ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you! It’s not locked in stone yet so I will go back over everything before basecoat at least ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Fantastic models!
But I’m not sure about the mecha-tendril either. I think it would look better without it, or with more of them in different places. It looks more natural to spread out the tech-parts, and not give the model one possessed fleshy arm, and one entirely mechanical arm.

Some cables or metal studs on the possessed arm could also make the bits blend more natural into each other.

      • Cheers! Yeah you’re right, I’ll look into it ๐Ÿ™‚

Great to see that you are starting a new project! This one seems like a perfect one too!

These first two acolytes are looking really nice, each with a wonderful composition and merger of different parts. I particularly like the horned one. Adding horns to the electropriest head works so well! I like that the head is a little smaller as it make his suit of armor look even more voluminous.

    Keep up the great work!
